Just when I thought life couldn't get any more exciting than the Brum Meet on Saturday along comes Monday with a 'wallop'....literally!!!

The day had been running quite smoothly in the library until breaktime when a fight broke out between 2 lads. We're not talking 'minor skirmish' here but full-blown 'I'm gonna knock your teeth down the back of your throat' stuff!! Fists were flying, noses were being bloodied and books were being rattled from the shelves!!

My assistant was valiantly trying to part them, 60+ other kids were treating it like a spectator sport and summoning help from the Senior Management Team was like trying to raise the dead............where do they go when they're needed!!? However just like buses 3 of them turned up at once........... when the drama was over, the kids had all been chucked out and the 2 lads had been seperated and put at opposite ends of the library.

The 'deputies' rolled into town and proceeded to start the investigation into what had happened while the two lads nursed cuts and bruises and continued to hurl expletives at one another.

Eventually they were carted off to be patched up and have their fates decided by the those who inhabit the 'top' corridor of power............where the internal phones never get answered!!

Wonder what tomorrow will be like?
